MWC 2012: Barcelona prepares for another edition of the congress of world’s largest mobile

El Mercurio of Chile (GDA). Less than two days to start the Mobile World Congress 2012, the new edition of the largest mobiletechnology in the world, Barcelona is preparing to receive thousands of visitors who come to the city from today and will stay until March 1.
Hundreds of ads alluding to the event adorn the streets of the city, including billboards that invite stands, for example, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.

This morning began the accreditation process for media andexhibitors at the Fira Montjuic, where through eight halls will showthe greatest advances in the industry, including launching newphones and tablets.

Emol had access to the exhibition center, which could see hundreds of workers move against the clock in the construction of stands and the various halls that will house large enterprises and smalldevelopers.

One of the most complicated issues in relation to the event was the strike of transport services in the city, announced for MWC day(Monday 27 February to Thursday 1 March).

After lengthy negotiations (and preparing a contingency plan), the conference organizers finally announced today that subway servicewill not stop, although it is likely that the bus service does stop its services.
